What documents do I need to rent a car?+
A valid driving licence held for at least two years, your passport or ID card, and a credit or debit card for the security deposit. The driver must be at least 21. An International Driving Permit is recommended if your licence is not in the Latin alphabet.
Is there a security deposit?+
Yes. A refundable security deposit is held for the rental: 1,500–3,000 TND for economy cars, 5,000 TND for standard cars and 6,000–8,000 TND for luxury cars. It is returned in full when the car comes back in good condition and is your maximum liability — nothing is ever charged beyond it. The exact amount is shown on each car page.
