Wedding car with a chauffeur: the simplest option
On the wedding day, few couples want to drive, look for a parking space outside the venue or keep an eye on the fuel gauge. A wedding car with a chauffeur takes care of all of that: a professional driver who speaks French and English collects the couple at the agreed address, follows the schedule you hand over and waits between the town hall, the photo session and the reception venue.
A chauffeur is available on the E-Class 180, the E 350e, the V-Class, both Prados and the A-Class, by the hour, by the day or over several days, anywhere in Tunisia. There is no public price list: the price depends on the date, times, route and availability, and you receive it as a fixed quote on WhatsApp before the event. Outside Greater Tunis and Djerba, a fuel and driver accommodation supplement may apply; it is stated in the quote.
Self-drive Mercedes wedding car hire: the conditions
Would you rather drive yourselves, or keep the car for the start of the honeymoon? Self-drive hire of a Mercedes or a Prado for a wedding follows VIPCAR's usual conditions exactly, with no exception on the big day:
The deposit is not a payment: it is returned in full when the car comes back in good condition, and nothing is ever charged beyond it.
- Driver aged 21 or over, holding a licence for at least 2 years.
- Passport or ID card, driving licence and a bank card; an International Driving Permit is recommended if your licence is not in the Latin alphabet.
- Refundable deposit of 6,000–8,000 TND for luxury vehicles, held on a credit or debit card (exact amount on each car page): this is your maximum liability.
- Basic third-party insurance included, no insurance package sold.
- Minimum rental of 3 days, 300 km per day included, full-to-full fuel.
- Driving outside Tunisia is not permitted.
Wedding cortege: several cars, one point of contact
In Tunisia the cortege is part of the celebration: the couple's car in front, the families behind, travelling between the home, the venue and the photo location. Decoration, ribbons and flowers: on request
White bows on the bonnet, ribbons on the door handles, a bouquet on the rear shelf: decoration is what turns a car into a wedding car. At VIPCAR, decoration is handled on request and confirmed at booking; we do not publish a decoration package. Simply tell us in your request what you have in mind, whether you are supplying the flowers or ribbons yourselves, and what time the car needs to be ready.
The answer then appears in writing in the quote: what can be fitted, by whom and at what cost, if any. Nothing is improvised on the morning of the wedding and the final price is the one you accepted. With a chauffeur, the preparation time is known in advance. For self-drive hire, the conditions for fitting and removing decoration are set out in the quote, and the car is returned in the condition in which it was delivered.
Guests from abroad: airport transfers and cars for the family
A wedding in Tunisia often brings relatives in from Europe or the Gulf.
