Flying into Enfidha-Hammamet or Tunis-Carthage
Two airports serve Hammamet. Which car to rent for Hammamet, Nabeul and Cap Bon?
For a hotel stay with a few trips into town, an economy city car like the Kia Picanto or Hyundai i20 is all you need: easy to park near the Hammamet medina or the Nabeul market, frugal, and the cheapest in the catalogue (today's rate on its page). A compact like the Volkswagen Golf 8 or a sedan like the Toyota Corolla, Suzuki Ciaz or Volkswagen Passat adds boot space and comfort for the run up to Tunis.
With a family, or to explore Cap Bon, an SUV like the Volkswagen T-Cross or Toyota RAV4 gives you height and room for beach gear. Exploring from Hammamet with 300 km a day included
Hammamet is an ideal base for day trips. Nabeul, its pottery and its Friday market are a few kilometres away. Cap Bon fills a day: Kelibia and its fort, the beaches of El Haouaria, the hot springs of Korbous along the corniche road. To the north, Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said are an easy day out from Hammamet on the motorway.

Rental conditions in Hammamet: documents, deposit, insurance
The conditions are the same everywhere in Tunisia. The driver must be at least 21 with a licence held for two years; an International Driving Permit is recommended if the licence is not in the Latin alphabet. A credit or debit card in the driver's name is used to hold the refundable deposit, returned in full when the car comes back in good condition.
Every rental includes 300 km per day, basic insurance (third-party liability) and 24/7 assistance. We do not sell extra insurance packages: the deposit is your maximum liability, and nothing is ever charged beyond it. The exact amount is shown on each car page, by category:
