Corporate car rental in Tunisia: one partner since 2001

Most companies in Tunisia end up with three suppliers: a rental agency for pool cars, a chauffeur company for visiting executives and whoever answers the phone for airport pick-ups. Corporate car rental in Tunisia with VIPCAR puts all three under one account, one contract and one invoice. Self-drive vehicles, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and V-Class with a French- and English-speaking driver, and airport transfers at Tunis-Carthage, Enfidha-Hammamet and Djerba-Zarzis are all booked through the same account manager. We have operated since 2001, run 250+ vehicles and work from three offices: Tunis Lac 2, Gabès and Djerba airport. Discretion is part of the service: we do not publish client names, and your bookings stay between you and your account manager. The full offer, role by role, is on our corporate car rental page.

Fleet: which vehicle for which job

Rather than a model list, start from the question your team actually asks. Five answers cover most corporate needs; the category pages show every car with its seats, luggage space and live rate.

  • Daily commuting or a client-visit pool in Greater Tunis? A sedan such as the Toyota Corolla or Volkswagen Passat: automatic gearbox, four doors, three suitcases.
  • Field team in Gabès or the south, sometimes off the tarmac? The Toyota Hilux pick-up or the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, both 4x4.
  • Regional coverage on paved roads, a comfortable ride and a hybrid option? An SUV such as the Toyota RAV4 or the Volkswagen T-Cross.
  • A visiting director or a board member? The Mercedes-Benz E-Class, self-drive or with a chauffeur.
  • Six to eight people with luggage, an audit team or a delegation? The Peugeot Traveller (8 seats) or the Mercedes-Benz V-Class (7 seats).

Framework contract: what you sign once and never renegotiate

A framework contract exists so that nobody reopens the terms every time a car is booked. Before signing, procurement usually asks five questions; here is how each one is settled. Duration: the contract fixes the term and the notice period. Exit: early-return and extension rules are written into the contract, not negotiated at return. Named drivers: each vehicle is assigned to the drivers you list, aged 21 or over with a licence held for at least two years. Deposit: the refundable security deposit is set by vehicle class in the contract and remains your maximum liability. Replacement: maintenance and a replacement vehicle are provided for in the contract, with the service level stated. Rates by class and duration are agreed once and apply to every booking that follows. Our guide to corporate mobility in Tunisia walks through these trade-offs.

Monthly invoicing: one invoice, your POs, bank transfer

Here is what a month looks like once the account is open. Your team books through the account manager or WhatsApp; each booking is logged against your account. At month end you receive one consolidated invoice covering every rental, chauffeur programme and transfer, with your purchase-order reference on it. A breakdown by cost centre, project or traveller is available on request, so finance can allocate spend without chasing receipts. Settlement is by bank transfer in TND, EUR, USD, GBP or SAR. When a member of staff needs to pay a one-off booking directly, we take a card or send a secure payment link instead. For invoicing questions or to set up your supplier file, write to info@vipcar.com.tn through our contact page.

Executive chauffeur: when your people should not be driving

Self-drive works for staff who know Tunis and its parking. It works less well for a visiting executive landing late at Tunis-Carthage, a delegation with a packed multi-city day, or anyone who needs to work in the car between meetings. That is when a chauffeured Mercedes-Benz E-Class or V-Class makes more sense: a French- and English-speaking driver who waits between appointments, handles the route and keeps to the schedule. Chauffeur programmes are quoted per programme: date, time, route and availability set the price, and the written quote is fixed before the day. Outside Greater Tunis and Djerba, a fuel and driver-accommodation supplement is stated in the quote. Recurring needs sit under your corporate account. Details are on our executive chauffeur page and the private chauffeur service page.

Airport logistics: arrivals, departures and cars delivered

For a visiting team, the workflow is simple. Send the arrivals list, with flight numbers, names and hotels, to your account manager. For each traveller you choose one of two options. Either a driver meets them in the arrivals hall with a name sign, tracks the flight and takes them door to door, or a self-drive car is delivered free of charge at Tunis-Carthage or Djerba-Zarzis airport (EUR 60 each way at Enfidha-Hammamet), with the contract prepared. Both can be combined: a transfer on arrival night and a rental car delivered to the hotel the next morning. Departures are handled the same way, with the pick-up time set from the flight. Free delivery at Tunis-Carthage and Djerba-Zarzis applies to every self-drive rental, not only to corporate accounts. See our airport transfer page and the airport transfers guide.
